Stainless Steel Shell-Seamless, Trim-less Set

Kit consists of: Two (2) custom- built panel shells (P1- fits freezer door, P2- fits fresh food door) Adhesive strips are applied on all inside edges and front. One (1) tubular handle is pre-mounted on each shell.

One Piece Frame Only Set One Piece Frame & Panel Set

Consists of: two (2) custom-built one piece frames with Tubular Handles pre-mounted at factory.
(1-freezer door, 1- fresh food door)
Adhesive strips are applied on all inside edges. Dependent on Make & Model refrigerator
Set includes: 2-3 custom Panels.

To be used with panels provided by customer
Panel Set

Consists of 2-3 custom built Panels.
To be used with appliances that are equipped with factory installed trim.

Tools and materials needed: (vary upon Make & Model appliance)

Putty knife, Phillip’s screwdriver, Flat head screwdriver, Torx screwdriver (bit size 15 & 20 ), Pliers, Socket set or nutdriver.

 

Step 1: Removing Trim, Plugs and Handles

Remove nameplate and any decorative trim. This may be held on by screws or adhesive tape. A putty knife or screwdriver covered with masking tape should be used for removal.

Using a flat head screwdriver, remove all plugs and plastic inserts from front face of door and all door edges.The number of plugs and inserts vary by Make and Model of appliance.

Be sure to remove all plugs on bottom edge of door. (Figure 1)

Remove existing handles. Handles are attached with screws or adhesive, dependent on Make & Model of appliance. You may need to remove  decorative cover on handle  to access screws.

Since there are different types/styles of handle assemblies used by various manufacturers, please refer to your appliance owners manual for “handle removal” instructions.

Step 2: Cleaning Doors

Before installing Kit, wash all areas of doors to remove manufacturer- applied oil film. Use mineral spirits or a 50/50 solution of rubbing alcohol and water.
Failure to clean surfaces may result in poor adhesion

Do not remove protective paper from adhesive until instructed- See Step 4

Step 3: Preparing Panels for Installing

Peel back protective covering on the front of panels approximately 1-2 inches from all four sides.(Figure 3)
